A comprehensive online class aimed at absolute beginners and improvers!
Master embroidery once and for all, with 20+ stitches and three exclusive practise patterns!
Embroidery is relaxing, fun and easier than you think!
I truly believe that everyone is creative and everyone can stitch; some of us just carry the baggage from the past of teachers or parents who told us that we should focus our attention on something different.
My style of embroidery is loose, layered, soft and rustic. Perfectionist tendencies are left at the door and the 'right way' doesn't exist. It's all about having fun, relaxing and creating something beautiful.CLICK HERE AND START NOW!
Learn EVERYTHING you need to know as a beginner
You don't need much equipment to start embroidery; there are inexpensive ways to start up. In more than 7 hours of video I include information on the type of equipment you need to gather - the essentials and the nice-to-haves. I explain needle sizes, fabric types and thread weights. Most things can be bought easily at your local store or online but there is the opportunity to buy a class pack from a link in the modules when you begin.

7 hours of video including 20+ stitch tutorials
In ALL embroidery designs, not just my own, the stitches are standard. My class is made up of three sections: Outline stitches, Filling Stitches and Decorative Stitches. Close-up video footage and voiceover shows how to work all of the stitches you will ever need to complete The Stitchery embroidery kits (and those of other embroidery designers too).
From running stitch, seed stitch, decorative cross stitch and stem stitch right up to bullion knots and cast-on stitch. The lessons are designed to take you slowly through the stitches, building on your experience as you work. A bonus class includes instructions to create a gorgeous, unique to you, cloth stitch sampler (left).SIGN UP HERE!
By the end of module one you will know all of the stitches to make this cute, minimalist 'Seaside Cottages' embroidery pattern. The class includes the full pattern pdf with thread colours and traceable pattern plus a video tutorial sharing how to stitch.
No clue how to get a pattern onto fabric or attach a hoop? No problem - I show you how to do that too!START NOW - CLICK HERE TO BUY
Module two demonstrates the additional stitches and techniques required for this Midsummer Blooms wreath and flower basket. Work through the stitches carefully, one by one on your practise sampler cloth and start the piece in your own time, when you feel ready to start.
The pattern is very forgiving and layering the stitches means you can cover up any mistakes! Hurray! Move away from your OCD tendencies and produce something deliberately rustic and charming. Again, the class includes the full pdf pattern and thread numbers plus a tutorial video explaining how to achieve the same result as me.READY TO GO? YOU CAN SIGN UP HERE
The Shepherd's Hut
The most complex of the three embroidery patterns, by following the lessons in sequence and practising the stitches, you WILL be able to stitch this pretty pale blue shepherd's hut.
Learn how to apply bullion knots, French knots, buttonhole and overcast (whip) stitches to create a piece of embroidery full of texture and movement.
The flowers and techniques taught can lend themselves to all sorts of new patterns and designs that you can create yourself. Again the class includes a full pdf pattern with thread colours for you to practise in your own time.SIGN UP HERE
